In addition to programs, we also offer summer, fall break, spring break, and winter break camps. These programs bring the community together through shared interests. Washington Township Parks Department provides a large number of year-round programming. Within these parks, you'll find covered picnic facilities, playgrounds, a nature center with an array of animals, sand volleyball, basketball, three stocked fishing ponds, an outdoor amphitheater, a splash pad, a three-sectioned dog park, miles of trails, the historic 1876 Whipple Iron Truss Bridge, and an outdoor aquatic facility. ![]() The park system has 3 developed parks including Washington Township Park, Pecar Park with Pock Woods, and Murphy Park. The park system provides opportunities for both structured and spontaneous play by way of our facilities, programming, preserved wooded areas, trails, and open green space. Washington Township Parks currently manages and maintains approximately 275 acres of property which encompasses a vast array of recreation opportunities. ![]() The purpose of Washington Township Parks located in Avon, Indiana is to serve our community while contributing to the physical, mental and emotional well-being of all of our visitors.
